The Voice is turning 30 — and NBC is making sure it feels like a celebration. With Tuesday’s NBC Upfront announcement confirming Queen Latifah as the fourth and final coach for Season 30, the full lineup is now set, and it’s arguably one of the most interesting coaching panels the show has put together in years.
Returning vets Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine are back, both bringing four wins each to the table. Levine in particular has been on a hot streak since returning to the show a few seasons back — his artist Alexia Jayy just won Season 29’s “Battle of Champions” finale in April, making it his fourth overall victory across the show’s history. Clarkson, always a fan favourite, is back with the energy and momentum of her talk show success behind her.
The newcomers are where it gets interesting. Riley Green — one of country music’s fastest-rising stars, with multi-platinum tracks like “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” and “Don’t Mind If I Do” — gets his first seat in the red chair after having performed at the show’s Season 26 and 28 finales. And then there’s Queen Latifah: Grammy winner, Oscar nominee, a performer with decades of range across hip-hop, R&B, acting, and live television. Her experience alone makes this one of the most credentialed panels the show has ever assembled.
In a nod to the 30th anniversary milestone, NBC confirmed the season will include special appearances from former coaches and mentors, callbacks to iconic moments from previous seasons, and surprises throughout. The show returns to its standard four-coach format after Season 29 tested a three-coach model. A specific premiere date within September 2026 has not yet been confirmed. Carson Daly is expected to return as host.
