Tensions are mounting ahead of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. More than 1,100 artists, including Brian Eno, Massive Attack, and the band IDLES, have signed an open letter demanding that the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) maintain strict political neutrality. The petition specifically calls for the disqualification of certain member states due to ongoing geopolitical conflicts, echoing the pressure that led to previous disqualifications in the contest’s history.
