If Disney’s Upfront was a polished corporate presentation dressed up as a show, Netflix’s version was a full party — and on Wednesday at Sunset Pier 94 Studios in New York, the streaming giant made absolutely sure everyone left with something to talk about.
Jennifer Lopez opened the evening alongside Brett Goldstein, her co-star in the upcoming romantic comedy Office Romance, which premieres on June 5. “I’m Jennifer Lopez,” she said. “And I’m standing next to Jennifer Lopez,” Goldstein deadpanned. The pair leaned into swirling rumours about an off-screen romance. “It felt great to come back to a rom-com, it’s been too long and this one might be my favorite I’ve ever done,” Lopez said.
Florence Pugh was introduced by a live violinist to unveil a first look at East of Eden, her adaptation of the John Steinbeck novel alongside writer Zoe Kazan, which is slated for a Fall 2026 release. Pugh described Cathy Ames — her character — as “the engine in our version of this story, a woman fiercely connected to her life force, driven towards freedom, no matter the cost.” Deadline
Millie Bobby Brown came out to discuss Enola Holmes 3, reflecting on her entire career at the streamer: “I got my first big break playing Eleven when I was 11. Netflix is where I grew up, where I learned to act, where I learned to produce.” She teased her upcoming rom-com Just Picture It, joking that “love is a lot more like the Upside Down than you think.” Deadline
Pete Davidson showed up and was immediately, gloriously Pete Davidson. Contractually obligated to promote Netflix’s podcast push, he told the room: “I’m going to read what I’ve been told I’m allowed to say, so pretend like this is organic.” His joke about playing an octopus in Remarkably Bright Creatures didn’t land the way he expected, and he was annoyed about it for the rest of his segment.
The full talent roster also included Tina Fey and Will Forte for The Four Seasons, John Cena and Eric Andre for Little Brother, Alix Earle and her sister Ashtin for Earle Meets World, the 1999 US Women’s Soccer Team for The ’99ers, and the Outer Banks cast bidding farewell ahead of Season 5.
